Quarterback prospect Brian Athey seems closer to a commitment and, from his stand-point, he is looking toward West Virginia, where three blood relatives have coached over the years. His Grandfather Dwight Wallace is the color commentator for the Mountaineers' football network.

"They told me when I visited that they thought they could use me at quarterback," said the lanky QB on Thursday. "I know I would have to prove myself if I got there. They think I'm mobile enough to run the spread. I'm no sprinter, but I can escape the pocket and maybe get a few yards. I think they felt excited to have offered me."
