Recruiting down the stretch

It is now less than two weeks before high school prospects around the country will be putting pen to paper and signing their National Letter of Intent to college programs around the country. That means it is crunch time for the Iowa coaches as they attempt to put the finishing touches on the Class of 2012.

According to our best estimates, the Hawkeyes' current scholarship total unofficially stands at 80 (LINK), including 18 prospects currently committed in this recruiting class. That means, unofficially, Iowa still has room to add five more scholarship athletes to the football program.
