Hawks offer Cincinnati WR

Cincinnati wide receiver Trey Kilgore is up to a dozen scholarship offers with the latest coming from the Iowa Hawkeyes this week. On Tuesday, the 6-foot-2, 183-pound prospect from St. Xavier High School spoke to Iowa assistant coach Brian Ferentz, who extended the offer and started working on possibly lining up a visit for later this summer.

"Iowa has been sending me mail throughout the year, but I haven't really had a chance to talk to any of their coaches until this week," said Kilgore. "My coach called and told me that Iowa is very interested and to give them a call because they might offer, so I called Coach Ferentz and we talked for a while. He told me that they watched my film and they really like me as a player so they wanted to offer."

Kilgore says the new offer immediately puts the Hawkeyes in his top three. That group currently consists of Iowa, Boston College, and Cincinnati.
