Jok commits to Iowa

Iowa was one of the first schools to show interest in Peter Jok and hung with him during the tough times as he battled injuries throughout his high school career. That kind of loyalty stayed with Jok and this weekend the 6-foot-6, 210-pounder decided to end his recruiting and gave his commitment to the Hawkeyes during his official visit to Iowa City.

"I'm going to Iowa," said Jok. "I committed to the coaches on my visit this weekend."

Jok's host on his official visit this weekend was freshman point guard Mike Gesell. The West Des Moines Valley senior said he enjoyed getting to know the current players at Iowa and feels like he will fit in well with the Hawkeyes.

"I already knew some of the players, but this weekend I really got to hang out with all of them and they're like one big family," Jok said. "I feel like we can all be part of building something special there."
