The Hawkeye basketball team opens the 2012-13 season on Friday evening when they face UT-Pan American at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
To say this is the most anticipated Iowa Basketball season in several years might be an understatement. Credit to Fran McCaffery and his staff for turning around the Hawkeye program in quick fashion and finding players who fit is style of play.

Iowa fans are feeling pretty good about the Hawkeyes chances of at least being on the bubble for an NCAA Tournament bid. If it happens, it would be the first time since Jeff Horner and Greg Brunner were leading the team back in 2006.
