The Hawkeyes used the hot shooting and scoring of freshman guard Mike Gesell and the energy off the bench by Melsahn Basabe to pick up their fifth win of the season on Tuesday evening over Western Kentucky. It wasn't always pretty, but the Hawkeyes got the job done. They talk about the win, the energy off the bench from Basabe, and Gesell bouncing back with a strong effort against the Hilltoppers.
