Florida QB has Iowa interest

HawkeyeReport.com Class of 2014 quarterback John Wolford plays football at Bishop Kenny High School in Jacksonville, Florida, but has family spread out all across the country. That includes the state of Iowa where the 6-foot-1, 209-pound Wolford plans to visit soon to see his relatives and check out the Hawkeyes, who have shown recruiting interest recently.
"My grandmother actually grew up in Iowa and she loves the Hawkeyes," said Wolford. "I still have some family that lives around Rolfe, Iowa, which is a small farming town in Pocahontas County. My uncle is a farmer there, so we have some ties to Iowa still."
Wolford was recently invited to Iowa's junior day on January 20, but is not sure that he will be able to schedule a trip that soon. Instead, he might fly up this spring to visit the Hawkeyes, who have steadily been showing more interest.
