Key Recruiting Weekend

HawkeyeReport.com With less than two weeks to go until National Signing Day, the Iowa Hawkeyes are getting ready for a key recruiting weekend as they look to finish out their class strong. With a few spots left to fill, the coaching staff is set to host several official visitors, some with scholarship offers and some without at the moment. In this update, we take a closer look at the recruits headed to Iowa City this weekend, the chances the Hawkeyes have of landing them, and much more.
Starting out at wide receiver, Pennsylvania native Brian Lemelle will be making his first visit to the Hawkeye State this weekend. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound Lemelle has been on Iowa's radar for a long time now and is one of their top prospects still on the board. The three-star prospect visited Connecticut this past weekend and told us that after Iowa he might go to Temple on February 1 before making a decision close to signing day. Along with those three schools, Lemelle drew scholarship offers from Nebraska, Penn State, Boston College, Purdue, Rutgers, West Virginia, and several others early on in the recruiting process. As a senior, he caught 99 passes for 1,590 yards and 11 touchdowns at Bishop McDevitt High School in Harrisburg, PA. Lemelle ended his high school career as Pennsylvania's all-time leader in career receptions with 269 and career receiving yards with 4,529
