St. Louis running back Jonathan Parker has been verbally committed to Tulsa since September, but made an official visit to Iowa this weekend to check out the Hawkeyes, who recently offered. The 5-foot-10, 180-pound Parker, who attends Christian Brothers College High School, says that he is glad he decided to make the trip.

"I always liked Iowa, but they didn't talk to me much early on," said Parker. "When they started showing interest, I thought I should take a visit just to see how things are there and see if maybe they offer something different than Tulsa."

"I'm glad that I took the visit because it went really well," he continued. "I loved everything and felt really comfortable there."
