Wadley feels blessed
When Akrum Wadley looks back at his recruiting, it all happened pretty fast with Iowa offering the week before signing day, but the New Jersey native feels blessed to have the opportunity and looks forward to joining the team this summer. We caught up with Wadley this week to talk about his upcoming freshman year, where the Iowa coaching staff sees him playing, and much more.
Q: What has it been like for you wrapping up your senior year of high school this spring?
WADLEY: It's been good, but I'm ready to leave. Really, I've been ready to leave for Iowa ever since my official visit because it was just such a great experience for me up there. I'm just trying to finish strong and hurry up and leave.
As a senior, Wadley finished with 105 carries for 1,548 yards and 25 touchdowns for Weequahic High School. He also had 11 catches for 153 yards and four touchdowns on returns as well.
