2015 in-state class taking shape
They may have just kicked off their junior season on the football field, but there are several elite in-state players in the Class of 2015 that already have extensive varsity playing time under their belt. That includes a top two way player in West Lyon lineman Jake Newborg. This three year starter became the first commitment to University of Iowa within the Class of 2015 shortly after receiving a scholarship. Newborg appears to be the back bone of this class and will likely continue helping convince other in-staters that their future should be in Iowa City.
Woodbury Central lineman Landan Paulsen and Levi Paulsen were the first juniors to land Hawkeye scholarships after dominating at their summer camp. Iowa remains their lone offers at this point but recent trips to Iowa State and Nebraska show that a other Midwest programs are keeping an eye on their performances this fall. Like Newborg, the Paulsen twins may line up on the Class A football field but that has not hampered their recruiting one bit at this point.
