News and Notes
It was a day for the record books in Iowa City as the Hawkeyes rolled past Western Michigan, 59-3. The record setting day was led by Kevonte Martin-Manley returning two punts for scores and cornerback B.J. Lowery returning a pair of interceptions for scores. We have all of our news and notes from Iowa's win and we hand out a couple of very obvious game balls.
OFFENSE: Jake Rudock - This has been the Mark Weisman Award so far in 2013 and deservedly so. But, Weisman got the 2nd half off and only had to log 10 carries on Saturday. While Rudock didn't have to put in much work in the 2nd half, he was really good once again. The sophomore signal caller was 10-15 for 134 yards and a pair of touchdown passes. He also continues to show that he's not statue in the pocket, by rushing for 30 yards, including a season high 31 yard jaunt against the Broncos.
