After missing most of his senior season with a broken fibula, defensive end Dominic Alvis was not quite sure what to expect during the recruiting process. The 6-foot-4, 225-pound Alvis had been receiving scholarship opportunities from smaller schools, but this weekend received the one he was waiting for in the form of a grayshirt offer from the Iowa Hawkeyes.
