Hawkeye fans knew that coming off the big win the previous week at Penn State that the contest against Arkansas State had the makings of a trap game. After a fast start, the Hawkeyes appeared to let their foot off the gas pedal and escaped with a 24-21 victory in Kinnick Stadium.
