October 31, 2009 Just keep working. That's the mantra of the Iowa Football team and on Saturday it paid off once again with another victory. Offensive lineman Riley Reiff spoke after the game about the Hawkeyes never say die attitude and how they just kept playing and good things eventually started to happen. He also discusses how Ricky Stanzi remains calm in the huddle even when things weren't going his way.Watch the video interview with Riley Reiff here: Reiff Indy Post Game Q: Had them all the way right? Riley: We just came out and worked hard. We have confidence and we are going to fight hard and Indiana came in here and played and we had to match it. Q: What do you say about a team that has trailed in eight games and won nine? Riley: It just shows that we are determined. We work hard throughout the game and good things happen when you work hard. Q: How about Brandon Wegher's performance today? Riley: He did an excellent job. With Adam going down, he worked hard and had a great game. Q: How was Ricky in the huddle in the 3rd quarter after the interceptions? Riley: Ricky is a competitor and we had faith in him the whole time. He has faith in himself and that is all you can ask. Q: Did he seem rattled at all? Riley: No. He is a tough character. Q: Have you ever been in a game like this before? Riley: (laugh) I can't say that I have. It was a great comeback. |
