Sorry it took me awhile to catch this, as I don’t spend near as much time on here since I let my premium subscription lax.
I honestly don’t know if I have in relation around there or not. As you might have noted I am from Fairfield and have been down and around the Muscatine area many a time. I don’t make it back to Iowa much anymore as most of my family now leaves in Central to Northern Missouri. In fact I haven’t been to an Iowa game in 100 years and my Family used to have season tickets that were willed to us by my Uncle Henry. I am in the car biz and work on Saturdays. Every year I say I’m going to take a couple Sats off and go to games but I’m a slave to my job and talk myself out of it.
You are right about my stance on “attacking” posters. There are several that I never see eye to eye with but that doesn’t give me the right to call them names. I try very hard to be a good witness and in fact it is that reason that I sometimes avoid posting. I am very passionate and no matter how careful I am I tend to offend people. Because of my job description, my debating and negotiating skills are such that I typically know how to make a point without leaving many loop holes for rebuttal and I do tend to come of a little over bearing at times. I’m not really concerned with being liked nor agreed with. Yet I don’t want to make people feel bad or give others the impression that people of Faith are pompous, unbending jerks. I do get frustrated with those who say our coaches suck, our recruiting sucks, and our schemes are bad. We obviously have problems but those who say this aren’t clearly evaluating the body of evidence from the whole of college football.

As far as the critics go...from what I have witnessed some actually take some time to post their thoughts, and others shoot from the hip without actually thinking through both sides or any side except for their own.
It doesn't matter what you say or how you say it. The fact of the matter is it is an internet message board, no one can see facial ezpressions or hear tone. Therefore they take things as they perceive them. Same as what or how people perceive an individual. My stance, which I think coincides with yours, "as long as you don't attack another poster or a player you have a safe and debatable opinion".

12/12 7:49 PM Thanks for the show of support and I apologize for the delay in getting back to you. I tell you something that you might get a chuckle our of. I’m a fairly intelligent fellow and I like to fancy myself as a capable wordsmith with a worldly understanding of many things. With that said I am a complete imbecile when it comes to anything “IT” related. I never even knew this was here and I wouldn’t have if not for trying to figure out why my locale is listed as Alabama. I do really appreciate your words however as another one of my failings is that I can sometimes come of as pompous or condescending. I take great pains to choose my words so as not to seem this way. Sometimes I fail, and as you have undoubtedly noted a get a little carried away and I do have my critics on the site. Most likely some of the same individuals that you mentioned in your note.
