Iowa went up to Cedar Rapids today and did some good things it appears. I know Kirwood is not a great JuCo team.
Iowa had 14 hits inlcuding a homerun from Chett Zeise, Kurt Lee also hit an RBI double. Several other Hawks had hits as well.
Pitching wise, I'd say almost every pitcher for Iowa got some work in the game. Iowa shutout Kirkwood through the first six innings and only gave up four hits all game.
There not stats posted. All I can tell you is Bergman (one of six pitchers I think) tossed in the first six innings where Kirkwood did not post a run. Lala was one of four pitchers who threw in the frames where they scored the two runs.
