Blythe enjoys Iowa's junior day

Living just down the road from Iowa City, Williamsburg native Austin Blythe has been on campus at the University of Iowa a number of times before. As he continues to get heavily recruited by the Hawkeyes, the 6-foot-3, 280-pound Blythe tries to look for something different on each visit he makes, which was the case again on Sunday at Iowa's junior day.

Iowa was the first school to offer a scholarship to Blythe last summer, but he has since added ones from Iowa State and Stanford as well. The Class of 2011 prospect also continues to hear from a number of others, including Notre Dame, Wisconsin, and Kansas State. A defending state champion in wrestling, he is receiving recruiting interest in that sport as well and knows eventually he will have a decision to make, but is not going to rush things.

Blythe, who could play either offensive or defensive line in college, is the early frontrunner for the top prospect in the state of Iowa in the Class of 2011 as he is currently the only one with Division I scholarship offers.
