Hansen Hitting a Turning Point With the Sooners?

For some time people have assumed that Edmond (Okla.) Santa Fe class of 2014 quarterback Justice Hansen's future collegiate commitment was a foregone conclusion. As the son of a former Sooner baseball player and an admitted Oklahoma fan, it seemed inevitable that the 6-foot-3, 190-pound signal caller with considerably early recruiting attention would end up at Oklahoma .
However, when talking to Hansen, there were a few things he felt others seemed to forget. First of all, Hansen made no denials about his affinity for Oklahoma but has always said he'd like to look around at several schools, including toward his first two offers of Arkansas and Missouri. But perhaps most importantly Hansen wondered if Oklahoma was going to get involved. Though the Sooners, generally more patient at quarterback than others, had been relatively non-existent in his pursuit to date.

Then early last week things started to change for Hansen when Sooner quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator Josh Heupel got in touch with Santa Fe head coach Lance Manning.
