Scarpinato picks up Big Ten offer

Defensive tackle Mark Scarpinato picked up his first Big Ten offer courtesy of Indiana University Friday evening.

The offer from the Hoosiers adds to pile of scholarships already extended from Illinois State, North Dakota State, Western Michigan and Wofford.

"I'm really excited to get this offer," the 6-foot-3, 275-pound defensive tackle told BadgerBlitz.com. "Coach (Bill) Lynch is a great guy and I'm really interested in learning more about the program"

Scarpinato played last season on Milwaukee Marquette's state championship team, a squad loaded with 2010 Division I prospects Marcus Trotter, Michael Trotter, Joe Cannon, Cameron Botticielli and Brock LaFace.
