Early Enrollment Analysis Part 1

With West Virginia set to have a number of players set to enroll early to begin their college careers, senior writer Keenan Cummings and staff writer Anthony Krumpach take a look at the commitments and their prospects in part one of this feature. three-star El Dorado (Kan.) Butler County C.C. running back Dreamius Smith

Cummings: Smith already has a college ready body and the junior college standout will be making his way to Morgantown with every intention of seeing the field early in his career. The Mountaineers will need to replace the physical running style of departing senior Shawne Alston, and Smith fits that role but adds more speed and athleticism to the mix. With an entire spring under his belt, it would not be surprising to see Smith carve out a major role in the Mountaineers backfield this fall as he was one of the coaching staff's top options at the position.
