Bulldogs land Rivals250 WR

Two weeks ago secretly brought in long time Oklahoma State commitment Fred Ross on an official visit.

The four-star wide receiver had been committed to the Cowboys for nearly a full calender year but flipped his pledge to the Bulldogs on the eve of signing day.

"A lot of things played into that decision," said John Tyler head coach Ricklan Holmes. "One reason has to do with the two relatives that he has at Mississippi State. That made him feel more comfortable there along with the football team and the coaching staff."

Ross originally committed to OSU on Feb 25, 2012 over offers from Baylor, Memphis, Missouri, Rice and West Virginia. The Bulldogs had also offered the Tyler, Texas standout early on in the process as well.
