CHICAGO - The Buckeyes have had a lot of success under Urban Meyer when it comes to recruiting defensive ends and the team would love nothing more than landing Norfolk (Va.) defensive end Jalyn Holmes, the No. 48 ranked player in the nation.

The 4-star end is down to a final three of Ohio State, Florida State and Clemson and is hoping to visit his finalists in the next month or so. The Buckeyes should be landing a visit in the next couple of weeks and despite being in the top three will need to do a quick sell job with both Florida State and Clemson making strong pushes as well.

Holmes checks in at 6-foot-5, 235 pounds and by his own admission has a quick first step and believes that his speed is something that has so many schools interested in him.

We spoke with Holmes on Friday about his expectations for the camp and to get more information on his recruitment along with a timeline.
