Keyon Brown made it official, announcing Thursday that he would be playing his college ball for Georgia during a press conference at his school.
The four-star performer from Wauchula, Fla. chose the Bulldogs over instate-schools Miami and Florida State.
It came as no surprise that Brown decided to commit to the Bulldogs.
The 6-foot-2, 240-pound defensive end had listed Georgia as his leader for several weeks now.
He took his official visit to Athens for last weekend's game between the Bulldogs and North Texas State.
"Georgia has really came after me hard," Brown told UGASports analyst Jake Rowe on Sunday. "I like the program, the facilities, and the environment there. It is a small town that reminds me of where I'm from."
Brown gives the Bulldogs 17 verbal commitments for its 2014 class and fifth from the state of Florida, joining Isaiah Wynn, Sony Michel, Gilbert Johnson and Kendall Gant.
More to come.
