One of the biggest targets left on the Ohio State board is Brooklyn (N.Y.) Abraham Lincoln defensive tackle Thomas Holley and the Rivals100 star made an official visit to Columbus (Ohio) this past weekend to check out the Buckeyes as they hosted the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Holley has taken official visits to both Ohio State and Penn State but holds a slew of offers and why wouldn't he? He is ranked as the No. 67 player in the nation by Rivals.com, checks in at 6-foot-4, 299 pounds, and pretty much could pick any school in the nation to attend if he wanted to.
Holley was flanked on the trip by fellow Brooklyn and current Ohio State commit Curtis Samuel but this was a chance for Holley to really get a look at Ohio State on his own and come to his own conclusions.
"It went well and I learned a lot of information and had a good time," Holley said.
Holley and Samuel played against each other on Friday night and both made it out to Ohio on Saturday and that is when things started to pick up for Holley.
"I hung out with the coaches and players and talked to the academic people and picked up a lot of information," Holley added. "I got to watch the game and watched practice and went to dinner with the team. It was a good time and a good experience."
The four-star DT spent most of his time with two coaches in particular during his trip.
"I spent the most time with Mike Vrabel and Urban Meyer," Holley said.
And the message is pretty clear from Ohio State to Holley.
"They told they needed me and I could have a positive role in their program," Holley said.
