Millard narrows his list

During the summer many division one prospects hit the camp circuit or make some unofficial visits so they can narrow their list of schools down. That is the case for Columbia (MO) Rock Bridge tight end Trey Millard.

At the end of June Millard made a visit up to Syracuse and the Orange made a very solid impression on the four star prospect.

"I like Syracuse a lot they are in my top three. I really like the coaches that they have up there and what they are trying to do with the program."

After competing in the Syracuse football camp and seeing what else the schools has to offer Millard liked what he say, but it was the coaches that stuck out the most for him on the trip.

"My favorite part was meeting with all of the coaches. They are all pretty good guys."

With Syracuse being named in the top three for Millard who are the other two schools on the short list?

"Yeah it [top three] is Oklahoma, Iowa, and Syracuse."

Millard continued to go in depth on what he likes about each of those three programs right now.

Oklahoma: "The history they have and the tradition of winning."

Iowa: "I like the coaching staff and what they do with their tight ends and how they put out so many tight ends into the NFL."

Syracuse: "The coaching staff right now sticks out about them."

Despite naming his top three there is still a chance things could change with his list. The tight end product does have a few more trips left.

"I have visits set up still to Vanderbilt, Tennessee, and South Carolina."

A decision for Millard is set to come up pretty soon.

"I want to make my decision sometime this summer."
