Abdur-Rahman adds Iowa offer

Class of 2019 WR/DB Kendall Abdur-Rahman now has offers from Iowa and Iowa State.
Class of 2019 WR/DB Kendall Abdur-Rahman now has offers from Iowa and Iowa State.

The Iowa Hawkeyes landed five-star defensive end A.J. Epenesa from Edwardsville, IL in 2017 and will be back there recruiting in the Class of 2019 after offering versatile wide receiver/defensive back Kendall Abdur-Rahman this week.

"Coach Woods came to the school that day and talked to my coach about what I was looking for in a school and what my grades were like," said Abdur-Rahman. "Then they told me to give him a call after school, so I did and that's when I found out about the offer."

"My reaction was I was speechless," Abdur-Rahman continued. "It was a great feeling. I couldn't stop smiling, it really made my day."

Iowa is the second offer overall for Abdur-Rahman as the Hawkeyes join Iowa State on his list. With the ability to play on either side of the ball in college, there is sure to be more interest on the way for the 2019 prospect, but don't expect it to go to his head.

"To be honest with you, it really feels just the same," said Abdur-Rahman. "Someone asked me that question when I got my first one, but it really feels like I still don't have any."
