Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson running back Cameron Baker's visit for the Ohio State game continued to sell him on the Hawkeye program.

“It was great and I had a lot of fun," said Baker. "The energy was amazing to be able to see a big upset was really cool. (I am) looking forward to another trip. I also liked how the fans were almost recruiting me themselves when I'd walk around the stadium.”

Baker felt that his favorite part of the trip was a single play.

“Being able to see that amazing interception from Joshua Jackson," Baker said. "He's a beast.”

There was one comment made by an Iowa coach that meant a lot to Baker.

“Coach Morgan said that I am a football player and that that is one of the biggest compliments I could receive from a coach.”

Baker continues to speak highly of what he has seen with the Hawkeyes.

“I love it," he said. "I feel welcomed there and I like how at Iowa they want to not only make great athletes but great people.”

One other in-state program has gotten Baker on campus as well.

“I've made a couple to Iowa State and I don't have any planned yet.”

Baker is limited this off-season with surgery ahead for him.

“I tore my labrum. (I have) no idea when. I've just been having problems with it for a couple years.”

The direction of his high school football team has Baker confident going forward.

“We came up short of the playoffs by a couple of games so we were disappointed, but we have a lot of developing young players for next year.”
