Missouri tight end Thomas Dutton has an early scholarship offer from Miami of Ohio and interest from several other schools, including the Iowa Hawkeyes. On Sunday, the 6-foot-7, 225-pound Dutton had a chance to visit Iowa City to learn more about the Hawkeye football program. We caught up with him afterwards to talk about the trip, the latest on his recruiting, and much more.

Q: What were the highlights of the Iowa visit for you?

DUTTON: I really liked all of the facilities and talking to current players on the team.

Q: Who did you talk with coaching wise and what they did have to say?

DUTTON: I talked to Coach Kennedy and Coach Woods and they both were super friendly. Coach Kennedy was talking a lot about the history at Iowa and I got to hear Coach Woods talk a little about what he does with tight ends at Iowa.

Q: What's next recruiting wise? Where do you visit next?

DUTTON: I've got a few more junior days to go to, but not many more big schools and after that it's getting ready for schools camps.

Q: Who is showing you the most interest right now?

DUTTON: Penn State is probably showing the most interest right now. Their tight ends coach writes me and my mother a few letters a week but I've been hearing from multiple schools.

Q: What camps are you planning to attend this summer?

DUTTON: Iowa, Mizzou, K-State, Oklahoma State, and Louisville for sure, but I'll definitely be going to more.
