In our following the future update, we take a look each week during the season at how Iowa's commits are doing on the field, including our performance of the week. Join us throughout the year as we watch their progress and get ready for the future of Hawkeye football.

Performance of the week

Terry Roberts had a huge game on both sides of the ball for Erie Cathedral Prep on Thursday night. On offense, Roberts had 5 catches for 161 yards and 2 touchdowns and added a pair of interceptions on defense, all in the first half as Cathedral Prep made quick work of University Prep, winning 56-0 in their first game of the post-season.

On the season, Roberts has 34 catches for 1,029 yards and 14 touchdowns on offense to go along with 11 tackles and 5 interceptions on defense for Cathedral Prep (11-0).

Other performances

With offensive lineman Jeff Jenkins leading the way, Samson Evans had 29 carries for 129 yards and 4 touchdowns as Prairie Ridge beat Willowbrook 42-7 on Saturday. On the season, Evans has 199 carries for 1,619 yards and 31 touchdowns on the ground as well as 579 yards passing and 7 touchdowns through the air for Prairie Ridge (12-0).

Linebacker Dillon Doyle had 4 tackles and 1 TFL on defense and 2 catches for 9 yards on offense in Iowa City West's 23-0 win over Bettendorf on Friday. This season, Doyle has 69 tackles and 9 TFL on defense and 18 catches for 235 yards and 4 touchdowns on offense for West (12-0) who will play for a state championship next week.

Defensive tackle Tyler Linderbaum had 6 tackles and 1 TFL on Thursday, but saw his senior season come to an end after Solon's 35-7 loss to Cedar Rapids Xavier in the state semifinals. This year, Linderbaum had 51 tackles, 7 TFL, and 2 sacks for Solon (11-1).

No stats available yet, but defensive tackle Noah Shannon saw his senior season come to an end Saturday as Oswego lost 31-0 to Lincoln-Way East in the playoffs . Shannon had 46 tackles, 15 TFL, and 8 sacks going into the week for Oswego (10-2).

Class of 2019 tight end commit Logan Lee had 2 catches for 50 yards on offense to go along with 9 tackles and 1 TFL on defense, but saw Orion lose to Newman Central Catholic 40-14 in the playoffs. This year, Lee finished with 28 catches for 496 yards and 8 touchdowns and 84 tackles, 28 TFL and 13 sacks on defense for Orion (9-3).

Tight end Anthony Torres is out for the season due to injury. His Mishawaka Penn team improved to 11-1 after beating Crown Point 33-3 in the playoffs on Friday.

Finally, JUCO defensive tackle Daviyon Nixon had 2 tackles and 1 pass deflection to help Iowa Western beat College of DuPage 42-7 this past weekend. This season, Nixon has 39 tackles, 11 TFL, and 4 sacks for Iowa Western (10-1).

Final season stats

The versatile Tyrone Tracy Jr. had 123 carries for 1,412 yards rushing and 54 catches for 1,132 yards receiving with 29 touchdowns this year for Decatur Central (10-2).

Running back Henry Geil finished his senior season with 224 carries for 1,479 yards and 16 touchdowns for Green Bay Preble (6-4).

Cornerback D.J. Johnson finished his senior season with 36 tackles and 2 interceptions for Indianapolis North Central (3-7).

After returning mid-season from a knee injury, safety Julius Brents had 17 tackles, 1 TFL, and 1 interception for Warren Central (7-4).

Offensive lineman Cody Ince helped Unity (9-3) rush for 2,187 yards on the ground this season and defensively finished with 101 tackles, 21 TFL, and 4 sacks.

Tight end Jack Plumb, who will play offensive line in college, had 5 catches for 85 yards and 2 touchdowns this year, and helped Bay Port (11-1) rush for 3,276 yards.

Linebacker Ben VanSumeren had 85 catches for 1,259 yards and 13 touchdowns on offense to go along with 43 tackles and 4 TFL on defense for Garber (4-5) this year.

Class of 2019 offensive line commit Ezra Miller paved the way as Ridge View (6-3) had 2,041 rushing yards this year and he added 51 tackles and 8 TFL defensively.

Class of 2019 offensive line commit Tyler Endres led the way upfront as Norwalk rushed for 1,186 yards and threw for 1,707 yards on their way to a 6-3 record.

Class of 2019 defensive back commit Larry Tracy finished the season with 86 tackles, 10 TFL, 14 pass breakups, and 3 interceptions for Decatur Central (10-2).
