Four-star tight end Micah Riley-Ducker has visited Iowa on his own a couple times before, but his official visit this weekend was his first chance to meet face to face on campus with the Hawkeye players and coaches.

"I spent lots of time with the players and the coaching staff," said Riley-Ducker. "I enjoyed the fact that all the questions we had were answered."

Among the players that Riley-Ducker spent the most time with was freshman wide receiver Keagan Johnson, who was a high school teammate of his at Bellevue West.

"Keagan was my host," Riley-Ducker said. "We played together in high school, so we had a good feel for each other. I can see myself spending time with him and Arland Bruce, his roommate, if I go there."

Riley-Ducker, who grew up a Hawkeye fan, also had a chance to sit down and talk with the Iowa coaching staff about his skill set and how it fits into their offense.

"I’m physical and do what I’m asked, which is something they like," said Riley-Ducker. "I know I’ll be developed there."

The trip to Iowa is the last official visit on Riley-Ducker's schedule after stops at Iowa State, Illinois, and Auburn earlier this month. Now, it is decision time for the four-star prospect with an announcement date scheduled for July 7.

"I enjoyed the visit and now it’s time for me to talk it over with my parents and figure out where I want to go," said Riley-Ducker. "I’m committing July 7th."
