Offensive lineman Ezra Miller predicts a great recruiting class for Iowa in 2019.

Hawkeye commit Ezra Miller has now visited the University of Iowa 20 times, which is an unofficial record for any Iowa recruit in recent memory. After his latest visit, we caught up with the 6-foot-6, 300-pound Miller to talk about his latest trip, helping the Hawkeyes recruit, and much more.

Q: How was your trip overall to Iowa on Saturday?

MILLER: Amazing. I had a fantastic time.

Q: What was your schedule during the day?

MILLER: Started out with a meal at 9:30 to 10:15. Then we had meetings with coaches (where) I met with Coach Brian Ferentz. After that, we got a speech about nutrition and the Iowa weight program. Then we had our photoshoot with Iowa gear on. And lastly, we went to the Iowa Indiana basketball game.

Q: What was your favorite part of the trip?

MILLER: It had to be between my meeting with coach and the photoshoot.

Q: Why did those both stand out so much?

MILLER: It was just a great meeting with coach. We talked about a lot of stuff that'd I'd like to keep private. And the photoshoot was just a fun time. (I) got to talk to other recruits and finally put on some black and gold.

Q: As a frequent visitor, did you learn anything about Iowa overall?

MILLER: Nothing I didn't already know really. I did learn that I hold the record for most visits though.

Q: What was the previous visit record and how many times have you visited?

MILLER: They said the previous record was around 7, and that was out of every class. Yesterday was my 20th visit.

Q: How do you feel about how the class of 2019 is shaping up early on?

MILLER: I feel like it could be something great, as long as we keep getting kids who'll buy into the program 100%.

Q: How important is that buy in for potential recruits?

MILLER: Incredibly so. When people buy into something, they'll give it all they got.

Q: Are there any athletes that you spoke with about joining you in going to Iowa?

MILLER: I spoke with almost all the kids yesterday about why they should come to Iowa. And a few kids in-particular, but I think they'd prefer it if they remain anonymous.

Q: Did the Iowa staff say anything about your workouts and if there are any parts of your game go specifically improve on?

MILLER: They just said keep doing what I'm doing. (I’m) working hard and trying to get better at everything.

Q: How big are you know height and weight wise?

MILLER: Right now, I'm 6'6.5 and around 300. I lost about 10 pounds when I had the flu and I haven't put it back on yet.

Q: Are you looking to add maintain or lose weight going forward?

MILLER: Maintain 300 for now. I'll put some more back on before football season begins though.Q: How did the basketball season go?

MILLER: I had a pretty decent season personally, but the team struggled though. We lost (in the) first round on Thursday and are done now.

Q: What are your workout plans now?

MILLER: Lots of explosive stuff and a ton of footwork is the basic outline.
