Class of 2018 athlete Reese Taylor picked up his first scholarship offer today from the Iowa Hawkeyes. The 5-foot-10, 175-pound Indianapolis native received the news after Hawkeye recruiting coordinator Kelvin stopped by Ben Davis High School this morning.

"I was surprised that my first offer was going to be so big," said Taylor. "I didn't think that I was going to get a offer today, but God works in mysterious ways."

Taylor, who Iowa offered as an athlete, has never been to Iowa City before, but is looking forward to scheduling a visit now after following from afar this season.

"I've never been there, but I've heard it's a very good school," Taylor said. "I've watched most of their games this year and I like the way they play."

Along with Iowa, Taylor is also receiving interest from Boston College, Louisville, and Nebraska, among others.

As a junior, Taylor put up big numbers for Ben Davis, completing 216 of 325 pass attempts for 2,730 yards and 26 touchdowns. On the ground, he had 165 carries for 961 yards and 23 rushing touchdowns.
