Illinois running back Ivory Kelly-Martin has made his college decision. The 5-foot-11, 195-pound prospect announced his verbal commitment to the Iowa Hawkeyes on Twitter this evening.

"I would like to thank all of the coaches whom I have met and spoken with throughout the recruitment process," Kelly-Martin said in a statement. "You have all made positive and lasting impressions that I will remember and appreciate throughout my life."

"I would now like to announce that I have committed to continue my academic and athletic career at The University of Iowa! Go Hawkeye Football!"

A three-star prospect, Kelly-Martin chose Iowa over scholarship offers from Illinois, Arizona, Wisconsin, Syracuse, Ball State, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Toledo, New Mexico, Western Michigan, Northern Illinois, Buffalo, and Miami of Ohio, among others.

As a junior, Kelly-Martin finished the season with 190 carries for 2,036 yards and 33 touchdowns at Nazareth Academy, leading the team to a state championship in Class 5A. As a senior, he will be attending Oswego East.

Kelly-Martin is the eighth commitment for the Iowa Hawkeyes in the Class of 2017, joining A.J. Epenesa, Juan Harris, Coy Kirkpatrick, Tristan Wirfs, Jacob Coons, Djimon Colbert, and Mark Kallenberger.
