Wisconsin running back Henry Geil has made his college decision. This morning, the Green Bay native announced his verbal commitment to the Iowa Hawkeyes.

"First off I'd like to thank God for allowing me to utilize the talents he has given me," Geil said in a statement. "Second, I'd like to thank my family for all the support they have given me over the years and through this process. Last but not least, I'd like to thank my coaches and my friends for steering me in the right direction and keeping me grounded."

"Without further ado, I'm blessed to say that I'm making a B1G TIME MOVE and committing to Coach Ferentz and the University of Iowa Hawkeyes!"

A 6-foot-0, 204-pound running back, Geil chose the Hawkeyes over scholarship offers from Michigan State, Iowa State, Indiana, Syracuse, Bowling Green, Western Michigan, and South Dakota State.

Geil is the fourth verbal commitment for Iowa in the Class of 2018, joining Mike Bruner, Jeff Jenkins, and Dillon Doyle.

A three-star prospect, Geil rushed for 784 yards and 14 touchdowns at Preble High School in Green Bay last season.
