The Iowa Hawkeyes finally have their quarterback commit in the Class of 2022. One day after picking up an offer from the Iowa coaching staff, Oklahoma native Carson May announced his verbal commitment to the Hawkeyes. For the 6-foot-5, 220-pound May, who attended Iowa's camp on June 18, it was an easy decision.

“When I went to Iowa, I just fell in love with the place," May told HawkeyeReport.com. "The facilities and all the coaches made it feel like home.”

May, who also had offers from Western Michigan and Old Dominion. is commitment No. 6 for Iowa, joining Aaron Graves, Caden Crawford, Jack Dotzler, Jayden Montgomery, and Kale Krogh in the Class of 2022 for the Hawkeyes.

"It’s just the perfect fit for me," said May. "Coach O'Keefe was a guy I was really impressed with and said I could be one of the greats at Iowa and go to the next level."

As a junior, May completed 220 of 366 pass attempts (60.1%) for 3,020 yards and 26 touchdowns with only five interceptions and added 650 yards rushing and 14 touchdowns on the ground as well.
