Hawkeyes offer Branch
The Iowa Hawkeyes are looking for a new running back recruit in the Class of 2017 and made their first move this weekend. With a bye week on the schedule, Iowa running backs coach Chris White traveled out to Tennessee to watch Antwuan Branch, a Purdue commit, play in person on Friday night. By Saturday, the 6-foot-0, 200-pound Branch officially had a scholarship offer from the Hawkeyes.
With Purdue currently looking for a new head coach, several teams have re-entered the race for Branch, including new offers from Iowa, Wisconsin, Iowa State, North Carolina, and Tulane just in the past week.
Going into last night's game, the three-star prospect had 176 carries for 1,622 yards and 22 touchdowns this season for Kenwood High School in Clarksville, TN.
