In-state LB commits to the Hawkeyes
In-state linebacker Logan Klemp has stayed patient throughout the recruiting process and this week it paid off. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound Klemp received a long awaited scholarship offer from the Iowa coaching staff on Friday and quickly accepted, giving his verbal commitment to the Hawkeyes.
In addition to Iowa, Klemp considered scholarship offers from North Dakota State, South Dakota, South Dakota State, Northern Iowa, Minnesota State, North Dakota, and Cornell.
The two-star prospect is commitment No. 20 for the Hawkeyes in the Class of 2018.
A versatile, do-it-all type of player that rarely left the field at South Hamilton High School, Klemp finished his senior season with 112 tackles, 12 TFL, 6 sacks, and 2 interceptions on defense to go along with 1,260 yards rushing and 13 touchdowns on offense, which earned him player of the year honors in Class 1A.
