Jesup lineman Brian Sadler came away pleased with what he saw after visiting Iowa for their season opening win against Wyoming.

“It was awesome," said Sadler. "Iowa is a great place. I really like it. It was a great experience. They have a good atmosphere down there.”

The visit allowed Sadler to become more familiar with what being a Hawkeye player would be all about.

“We just took a tour of the football facilities," Sadler said. "We got to see all kinds of stuff that the players get to use every day. We got to go on the field for pregame warm-ups. We got to sit in the stands for the game.”

Sadler was able to catch the eyes of the Iowa staff during the summer.

“They said I came to camp and I did a really good job," he said. "They’ll keep in contact with me.”

There are a lot of positive things that Sadler has said about the Hawkeyes.

“I like it a lot," Sadler said. "It is a good place to be at. They are a great program to be around for sure.”

Sadler mentioned that a trio of colleges have been keeping in contact with him the most overall.

“Iowa, Drake, and Moorhead," said Sadler. "Those are probably the top three right now.”

Iowa City is where Sadler will be visiting later this month.

“The 23rd for the Penn State game.”

Sadler has his attention on the high school season and hopes that his team can pick up their play.

“We started off pretty rough," he said. "I suffered an injury a month ago and I haven’t been playing yet. We lost both of our first two quarterbacks and we are on our third sting now. Other than that, it is looking pretty good for the underclassmen we have playing. The future is bright.”

Getting back on the field is something that Sadler is working extremely hard for.

“I should be back in the next week and a half or two weeks," Sadler said. "It is going good. Recovery is going quick.”
