Larry Tracy close to a decision

The Hawkeyes already have one member of the Tracy family set to join the team in 2018 and may be close to getting another for 2019. Larry Tracy, a Class of 2019 cornerback, is set to announce his college decision tomorrow following his latest visit to Iowa, which is where his cousin, Tyrone Tracy Jr., is already committed.

The 5-foot-11, 175-pound Tracy has narrowed his choices down to Iowa and Indiana. Other offers for the three-star prospect from Indianapolis include Syracuse, Northern Illinois, and Bowling Green.

As for this weekend's trip to Iowa City, it gave Tracy another look at the Hawkeyes, who opened camp today as they prepare for the upcoming 2017 season.

"I got to see the actual field, sit down in a player meeting, and have a good talk with the head coach," said Tracy. "It was a great conversation talking about the stability of the program and everything."

"I love going up there," Tracy continued. "I always have a great time."

As for what he is looking for in his future college, Tracy says, "That feeling of home."

Tomorrow, the Class of 2019 prospect will announce where that is on his 17th birthday.
