New 2017 Offer: CB Fofie Bazzie

Maryland cornerback commit Fofie Bazzie added an offer from Iowa on Monday.

Cornerback Fofie Bazzie verbally committed to Maryland this past weekend, but that has not slowed down interest from other schools. On Monday, the 6-foot-0, 178-pound Bazzie picked up his seventh scholarship offer, which came from the Iowa Hawkeyes.

"I was shocked," said Bazzie. "I didn't think they would offer the day after I committed to Maryland, but I'm glad to know they're interested in me playing for their program."

For Iowa, it was assistant coach Chris White that was in contact and extended the offer on Monday. While the Maryland native says he is pretty set with his decision, he is open to taking some other visits down the road.

"Right now, I'm pretty solid with my commitment to Maryland, but I will take more visits and go to one day camps," Bazzie said.

Iowa is the seventh school to offer Bazzie, joining Maryland, Iowa State, Temple, Marshall, Monmouth, and Old Dominion on his list.
