New 2017 Offer: CB Josiah Scott
Ohio cornerback Josiah Scott landed his first Big Ten offer today and it came from the Iowa Hawkeyes. The 5-foot-10 165-pound Scott received the news from Iowa recruiting coordinator Kelvin Bell this afternoon.
"I'm shocked and excited," Scott told HawkeyeReport.com. "I can't really explain the feeling. It's great."
Iowa is the sixth offer Scott, as the Hawkeyes join Southern Miss, Kent State, Army, Navy, and Bowling Green on his list. Other schools showing interest include Cincinnati, Michigan State, Indiana, and Penn State.
For the Hawkeyes, the next step in Scott's recruitment will be getting the Class of 2017 prospect on campus.
"I haven't been there before, but I will definitely be planning on getting out there in the summer," said Scott.
As a junior, Scott finished the season with 33 tackles and three interceptions at Fairfield.
