New 2017 Offer: DB Ben Stewart

Class of 2017 defensive back Ben Stewart has picked up his first Big Ten offer. That came from the Iowa Hawkeyes as the 5-foot-10, 198-pound Stewart received the news from lead recruiter Kelvin Bell on Monday afternoon.

"Receiving the Iowa offer is amazing," Stewart told HawkeyeReport.com. "I'm pumped about it."

As a junior, the 5-foot-10, 198-pound Stewart finished the season with 86 tackles and one interception at Indianapolis Cathedral. In college, the Hawkeyes see the hard hitting 2017 prospect playing the safety position.

"I got the impression that I would fit into a safety position that could also spend a lot of time rolled down in the box," said Stewart.

Currently, Stewart holds scholarship offers from Iowa, Toledo, Western Michigan, Bowling Green, Ball State, and Illinois State.
