New 2017 Offer: DB Matt Hankins

Class of 2017 cornerback Matt Hankins has picked up several new scholarship offers recently, including one from the Iowa Hawkeyes today. The 6-foot-1, 160-pound Hankins added the Iowa offer after Hawkeye assistant coach Bobby Kennedy stopped by Marcus High School in Flower Mound, TX this afternoon.

"I was extremely excited because I know that Iowa had a great season last year and their defense was stellar, so it meant a lot knowing they think I can play at such a level," said Hankins.

After adding new offers from Iowa and Toledo today, Hankins is up to 23 overall as those two join Texas Tech, Missouri, Duke, Illinois, Kansas, Houston, SMU, Colorado, Colorado State, Connecticut, Fresno State, Southern Miss, Louisiana-Monroe, Bowling Green, Tulane, Utah State, New Mexico, North Texas, Middle Tennessee State, Nevada, and Texas-San Antonio on his list.
