New 2017 Offer: TE Austin Allen
The Iowa Hawkeyes are the latest program to offer big tight end Austin Allen from Aurora, Nebraska. The 6-foot-8, 225-pound Allen received the news from Iowa tight ends coach LeVar Woods, who extended the offer this evening.
"I talked to Coach Woods," said Allen. "We talked about Iowa for a while and then they offered. It's pretty special knowing how well they utilize the tight end."
As a junior, Allen finished the season with 41 catches for 507 yards and eight touchdowns for Aurora.
Currently, the Class of 2017 prospect holds offers from Iowa, Nebraska, Iowa State, and Central Florida.
