New 2018 Offer: DB Atanza Vongor

The Iowa Hawkeyes are the latest team to offer Class of 2018 safety Atanza Vongor. The 6-foot-0, 193-pound Vongor received the offer this weekend after Iowa assistant coach Levar Woods visited South Grand Prairie High School in Texas.

"Coach LeVar Woods came out to the school during spring practice last week," said Vongor. "He watched me practice and gave me his number, so I was able to call him the next day and they offered."

For Vongor, it was part of a busy weekend that also saw him land offers from Georgia and Iowa State as well. That brings his total up to seven with previous offers on the table from Michigan, Clemson, Texas A&M, and Baylor.

"It's crazy," Vongor said. "God is just pouring out blessing and opportunities. Many don't even get the opportunity to go to college, but I have the opportunity to go for free, so I'm just grateful and if I'm doing something, I'm doing it for God's glory. So it's just surreal."
