New 2019 Offer: DB Jalani Williams

The Iowa Hawkeyes are the latest team to offer a scholarship to talented Class of 2019 prospect Jalani Williams from St. Louis. The 6-foot-2, 170-pound safety received the news after Iowa assistant coach LeVar Woods made a visit to Parkway North High School today during the Hawkeyes' bye week.

"I visited there when they played against Iowa State and had a good conversation with Coach Woods," said Williams. "Then, he contacted my coach today (about the offer).

Williams' unofficial visit to Iowa City on September 10 for Iowa's night game against Iowa State at Kinnick Stadium impressed the 2019 prospect.

"I like the atmosphere there when I visited and the facilities," Williams said.

Overall, Iowa is the fourth offer for Williams as the Hawkeyes join Missouri, Nebraska, and Iowa State on his early list as just a sophomore in high school this year.

"It's a good feeling that God has blessed me," said Williams. "I've been working hard and it's starting to pay off. It's a very exciting feeling."
