Sails reopens his recruiting

Two weeks after committing to Iowa, three-star defensive back K.J. Sails has decided to reopen his recruiting. The 5-foot-11, 163-pound Florida native made an unofficial visit to South Carolina this past weekend and says he still wants to see some other schools, so while Iowa remains under consideration he announced his decommitment on Twitter this afternoon.

Thus far in the recruiting process, Sails has made official visits to Iowa and Wisconsin and also holds scholarship offers West Virginia, Cincinnati, Utah, Illinois, Indiana, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Virginia, Wake Forest, South Florida, and Temple, among others.

As a senior, Sails finished with 24 tackles, 2 interceptions, 2 forced fumbles, and 4 blocked field goals for East Bay (6-4) this season.
