Lincolnshire (Ill.) Stevenson senior wide receiver recruit Henry Marchese (6-foot-3, 185 pounds) has been having a terrific senior season so far for the Patriots (5-1). "My season has been going great so far," Marchese said. "We are playing well as a team and this week we haver another big game against Lake Zurich."
Marchese has been drawing increased recruiting attention this fall.
"I've been staying in touch with several college coaches this fall. Central Michigan, Wisconsin and Iowa all seem very interested and all three schools could be close to offering me. I visited Wisconsin two weeks ago and this past Saturday I visited Iowa. I'm also hoping to get out to visit Central Michigan sometime soon."
Marchese. who is drawing recruiting interest as a wide receiver recapped his weekend trip to Iowa.
"My visit to Iowa went really well. Iowa is just a top notch program and school. My Dad played at Iowa and I used to go to Iowa all the time as a kid to watch the Hawkeyes. I was able to see some of the facilities and I also was able to talk with the coaches at Iowa. The Iowa coaches tell me to keep playing well and they also want me to stay in touch."
Marchese has also been in touch with several other Big Ten schools this fall.
"Besides Iowa and Wisconsin I'm also still talking to Michigan State, Illinois, Northwestern plus now some of the ACC schools like Syracuse. Pitt and Virginia. The coaches all liked my senior video."
So what's next for Marchese?
"I'm just going out and playing my senior year and that's my main focus. I'm not in a hurry to decide anything yet and I just will wait and see what happens. I'm hoping to make more visits later in the year and then make a college decision."
