IOWA CITY, IA - University of Iowa defensive end Adrian Clayborn has been named to the prestigious Playboy magazine pre-season All-America team.
Clayborn, a 6-4, 285-pounder from St. Louis, MO, becomes the 16th Iowa player ever named to the Playboy team. He becomes the fifth Kirk Ferentz coached Hawkeye to make the list. Former Hawkeyes Nate Kaeding, Robert Gallery, Matt Roth and Chad Greenway made the team earlier in the Ferentz era. Ferentz was also named the Playboy Coach of the Year in 2003.

Clayborn was the MVP in Iowa's win over Georgia Tech in the 2010 FedEx Orange Bowl. He blocked a punt and ran it back for a touchdown in Iowa's win over Penn State. He was named National Defensive Performer of the Year by the College Football Performance Awards and was first team all-Big Ten. He started every game for Iowa last season and was credited with 70 tackles, including 20 for loss.
The Hawkeye senior is expected to be on the 2010 watch lists for virtually every defensive player of the year award.
